О курсе

Container technologies are a core part of modern software development, cloud computing, and DevOps practices. This course introduces learners to the foundations of containerisation, from basic concepts and Docker workflows to container ecosystem components, operations, orchestration, Kubernetes practices, and container security. Learners will explore how containers differ from virtual machines, how container images, runtimes, engines, and registries work together, and how multi-container applications are configured and managed. The course also introduces Kubernetes as a container orchestration platform, covering key concepts such as Pods, deployments, scaling, scheduling, resource management, rolling updates, and deployment strategies. By the end of the course, learners will be able to explain containerisation concepts, describe Docker and Kubernetes workflows, understand container operations, evaluate container adoption challenges, and identify security practices for protecting containerised applications across the development, deployment, and runtime lifecycle.
