О курсе

This course gives you practical access to the essential skills needed to manage UI state and persist data effectively in modern mobile applications. You'll explore how to design declarative UI components with robust state management that automatically update across recompositions, implement state hoisting to pass data seamlessly between parent and child components, and persist user preferences using local key-value storage mechanisms. Beyond the basics, you'll learn to build offline-capable data layers using local relational databases, intelligently balancing cached data with live network responses to optimize performance, freshness, and reliability. You'll also gain the skills to maintain legacy XML-based layouts—an essential capability when working with existing codebases in real-world development environments. If you're already comfortable with state management and data persistence concepts, this course offers a flexible, assessment-first approach that lets you demonstrate your skills immediately and focus only on areas that challenge you. If you're newer to these topics, you'll find structured modules from Meta that guide you through building functional app features, from onboarding flows and user profiles to dynamic data fetching and synchronization. Whether you're preparing to build apps that work seamlessly online and offline, looking to master declarative UI patterns, or aiming to contribute to established Android projects, this course will serve as your guide to creating responsive, data-driven mobile experiences. All you need to get started is Android Studio and a drive to build smarter apps.
