Turn Your Kubernetes Cluster Into a Control Plane! Learn Crossplane hands-on — provision, manage, and reconcile cloud infrastructure with Kubernetes. Managing infrastructure across multi-cloud and on-premises environments is hard. Tools like Terraform work well in isolation, but combining them with Kubernetes workflows creates fragmentation, configuration drift, and constant context-switching. Crossplane solves this by extending Kubernetes itself into a universal control plane — letting you provision, manage, and continuously reconcile cloud resources using the same APIs, GitOps workflows, and RBAC policies you already use for your applications. This course teaches you Crossplane the right way: by doing. In the first module, you'll install the Crossplane control plane via Helm, use the Crossplane CLI to interact with and debug live components, and configure cloud infrastructure Providers using Provider Configs and secure InjectedIdentity credentialing. You'll provision real managed resources and watch Crossplane actively reconcile them. In the second module, you'll move into advanced platform engineering. You'll define Composite Resource Definitions (XRDs) that expose clean, safe infrastructure APIs to development teams, build multi-resource Compositions running in pipeline mode, and configure containerized Composition Functions to enforce dynamic data transformations. By the end, you'll have the skills to design and deploy a self-service Internal Developer Platform (IDP) that gives development teams what they need while keeping platform engineers in full control. Who this is for: Platform engineers, DevOps engineers, SREs, cloud architects, and Kubernetes administrators who want to build Kubernetes-native infrastructure platforms. Solid Kubernetes experience including CRDs and Helm is required.
