This Short Course was created to help Data Management and Engineering professionals implement defensible EU/UK compliance controls. By completing this course, you'll document lawful-basis justifications, detect PII lineage gaps, and configure RBAC in Microsoft Purview — skills you can apply the very next day at work. By the end of this course, you will be able to: - Apply UK GDPR/DUAA lawful-basis assessment criteria to document processing justification and retention limits for a given dataset within a ROPA template - Analyze data lineage and access patterns to identify gaps in data minimisation and subject-rights fulfilment that pose regulatory risk - Create a data classification and role-based access control matrix that aligns sensitivity labels to GDPR/UK GDPR principles and organisational policies This course is unique because it combines hands-on Microsoft Purview RBAC configuration with real ROPA entry work and PII lineage gap analysis. To be successful, you should have a background in data management fundamentals and basic privacy concepts at an intermediate level.
