Industrial Safety Engineering is a comprehensive course designed to provide learners with practical knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices used across industrial sectors. The course covers the fundamentals of workplace safety, hazard identification, risk assessment, accident prevention, and safety management systems. Learners will gain insights into key industrial safety practices such as Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Permit to Work (PTW), Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), toolbox talks, safety inspections, audits, and emergency response planning. The course also addresses critical safety requirements for work at height, scaffolding, electrical systems, confined spaces, lifting operations, machinery, excavation, hot work, and lifting operations. In addition, learners will understand chemical safety, hazard communication systems, safety signages, HAZCHEM codes, NFPA diamonds, HMIS labels, and safe chemical handling practices. Through industry-relevant examples and practical applications, this course equips learners with the knowledge required to identify hazards, implement risk controls, and contribute to safer workplaces.
