О курсе

“International Communication and East Asian Affairs (1): Trends in International Communication” is the online course provided by the Graduate Institute of Journalism, National Taiwan University and Radio Taiwan International. This course provides learners an introduction to the international communication system with a focus on Taiwan and the Asian region. It includes the topics of introduction to international communication, international news flow, media technology and media transformation, cultural identity and the construction of national brand, and some related issues. Learners will attain a brief understanding of Taiwan’s international communication system and its transition in recent years. Each week we will focus on different aspects of international communication. Video lectures and discussions are included to enable you to learn about the key issues. Whether taking this as an independent course, for advanced international communication practice, or as preparation for the Graduate Institute of Journalism degree at National Taiwan University, you will find this course interesting and helpful.
