This course provides an overview of what supply chain management is and its key functions and processes. Learn about the different entities involved in a supply chain like suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers and consumers and how they are connected. Get an understanding of basic supply chain concepts like logistics, operations, procurement and different career paths in this field. After taking this project, learners will be able to define supply chain management, identify key entities in a supply chain network, explain fundamental processes, describe the flow of information and products, outline diverse career paths, articulate current industry trends, and locate additional resources for further learning in the supply chain field.
