Build expertise in VMware NSX-T, the platform enabling secure, scalable network virtualization in data centers. This course introduces software-defined networking (SDN), explains NSX-T architecture, and provides hands-on practice with logical switching, routing, traffic optimization, and security. You will start with SDN fundamentals, see how NSX-T separates management, control, and data planes, and review components such as transport nodes, edge nodes, and gateways. You will then install and configure NSX-T Manager and learn deployment best practices. Next, work with logical switching and routing. You will configure segments, explore overlays with VXLAN and Geneve, and set up Tier-0 and Tier-1 gateways with static and dynamic routing. You will also optimize east-west and north-south flows using load balancing and traffic engineering. The course concludes with zero-trust security and practical NSX-T applications. You will design micro-segmentation policies, implement distributed firewalls, and apply a zero-trust model for secure multi-tenant environments. Hands-on labs will reinforce skills in switch deployment, routing, traffic analysis, and security implementation. By the end of this course, you will be able to: - Analyze NSX-T architecture, SDN concepts, and deployment workflows. - Configure logical switches, segments, and routing gateways. - Optimize traffic flows with load balancing and routing strategies. - Implement micro-segmentation and zero-trust security using NSX-T.
