This practical course on RF Antenna Design takes learners from core theory through simulation workflows to real-world implementation aspects. You'll learn how antenna performance metrics (gain, bandwidth, efficiency, radiation patterns) relate to design choices, use the Smith chart and impedance-matching techniques, and run/interpret EM simulations to validate designs. Hands-on demos show a modern digital design chain (model → simulate → read results → optimize), and cover measurement considerations, enclosure/body effects, and common pitfalls. By blending conceptual ideas with applied labs and free/open tools, the course equips engineers to produce and analyze antennas for real applications. This course is designed for students and professionals who want to build or expand their expertise in RF and antenna design. It’s especially valuable for electrical and electronics engineering learners, RF and communication engineers, and those working in wireless, defense, or satellite industries. Researchers and hobbyists interested in exploring the practical applications of electromagnetic theory will also find this course highly engaging.
