By the end of this course, you'll be able to build a risk matrix for your own systems and defend every row in it. You'll score likelihood and severity without letting the two collapse into each other, and you'll know where to dig for the risks nobody has written down yet. You'll keep that matrix honest with review cadences, monitoring, and game days. Mitigating a risk and removing it are different decisions with different costs, and you'll know which one you're making. You'll design service failures that are predictable, understandable, and reasonable. You'll put technical debt on the matrix with a score attached, which is how the argument for paying it down finally gets traction with the people who control the roadmap. And you'll carry a high-high list into a room full of executives and have it land. Most risk training treats risk as something to eliminate. Every complex system carries risk, so driving it to zero was never the job. This course treats risk as a portfolio you manage on purpose. The closing module covers what AI-enabled systems break about traditional risk practice. You'll finish with a working matrix you can take into your next planning meeting.
