This course provides a comprehensive understanding of transmission line route surveying, Right-of-Way (RoW) planning, tower manufacturing, and overhead insulator design for HV systems. It covers conventional and modern surveying methods such as GPS, LiDAR, and drone-based techniques, along with fabrication, galvanization, and quality assurance in tower manufacturing. Learners will analyze insulator performance, potential distribution, string efficiency, creepage distance, and environmental impacts, along with inspection, protection, and reliability practices through real-world case studies.
